We believe God gave Abigail to us, the reasons are not clear why. But, one thing we do know is not to blame God and be angry at Him. Best for us to know that He had given us this special gift.... a special loan from God.

God's Loan

For a little while I will lend you a child

A child of mine so sweet

For you to have just while she's here

And to know she's mine to keep

She'll bring her charms to gladden you

And should her stay be brief

You'll have these precious memories

From me to you to keep.

I cannot promise she will stay

Since all from earth return

For there are lessons taught down there

To take her home with me.

Dear Lord "Thy will be done"

For all the joys a child shall bring

The risk of grief we'll run.

We've sheltered her with tenderness

We have loved her, while we may

And for all the happiness we have known

Forever grateful stay.

And now the angels called for her

Much sooner than we've planned

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes

And try to understand
